A bright STEM future

A bright STEM future

I love covering the National Science and Engineering Competition at the annual Big Bang event. The team at the British Science Association are amazingly professional and make my work a whole lot less complex than it could be. It was also great to be able to set up a little team of ‘togs’ this year (me, Em Fitzgerald and Hannah J Taylor) to capture the 200 or so incredible entries from Britain’s best young scientists and engineers. Highlights for me this year included the huge eagle that landed on presenter Greg Foot, the opportunity to photograph the celebrity judges and hearing about the passion and genius behind the winning entries. Gives one hope for the future!
